This includes the full set of program files (EXE and DLLs), Help and Tutorials and will add (or update) the Desktop icon. It does not install the Deskey dongle drivers or transfer any Textures. It must not be used when updating from an earlier version of LSS such as v8.50.n or v9.00.n

It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the file is copied into the same folder as LSS v9.65.nn. McCarthy Taylor Systems Ltd does not accept any responsibility if this download file is used to overwrite an earlier version of LSS.

Please note that this version implements the new Automatic Update technology we have been previewing over the past few months. Once you have downloaded this program and installed it, this should be the last time you need to visit this page for further updates as they will download on demand. For those who do not normally have Internet access, the way to keep up to date with program updates is to keep visiting this page and continue to download manually as you are about to do.

So, how do the automatic updates work?

When you run LSS for the first time each day it will check if there are any newer LSS files on our web server. If there are it will offer to download them. Then, when you close LSS it will download the files and install them. If you are away from your main place of work and do not have Internet access you can set a delay of up to ten days, during which time LSS will not attempt to check online for updates.

For the vast majority of users the system will be seamless and straightforward. For those on large corporate networks with high levels of security, the system may not allow you to automatically update.
